MathRiders understands that to keep students engaged and interested requires a very special teacher. All MathRiders teachers share a love of teaching through excitement and enthusiasm and their students develop a genuine love of maths.
Certified: MathRiders teachers are the cornerstone of our system, creating confident maths lovers who excel at their school maths classes. All MathRiders teachers receive comprehensive trainings with regular in-service workshops.
Background: Teachers for the youngest ages, 2 to 4, do not need a degree in mathematics but must have an affinity for maths (math concepts and terminology) and the ability to nurture and motivate young learners. As levels advance, a teacher’s knowledge and mastery of maths must progress. Teachers for the 4 to 11 age group should have a mathematical/scientific background. Teachers for the 11 to 19 age group must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics or a related field and must have successfully completed the most advanced Helen Doron MathRiders Teacher Training courses.
Original Materials and Management Tools: MathRiders teachers enjoy a network of MathRiders teachers and educational expertise. They have access to a wealth of resources, including support services and advanced learning materials that ensure that each MathRiders teacher is well equipped to make every class outstanding.
Teacher Training Courses: Comprehensive teacher training is the backbone of the MathRiders programmes. Developed by expert maths pedagogues, MathRiders Teacher Training courses review the theoretical background of mathematics and provide hands-on experience using our innovative teaching methods and learning materials. Upon completion of one or more training courses, MathRiders teachers are ready to start teaching.
