Who is a successful MathRiders teacher?
Our teachers come from many different professions; however they all share certain important qualities. They all possess a love of the mathematical world, and have a sound mathematical background. They work well with children and youth and are able to understand student's unique needs. They take pride in helping students reach their full potential, become more self-assured and ultimately have a good time while doing it. What qualifications do I need to teach?
- To teach students ages 4 to 11: you need a high score on your high school level final exams.
- To teach students ages 11 to 18: you need college or university studies in mathematically-related subjects such as science, IT, engineering etc.
- To be accepted into our teacher training program, applicants must first pass our MathRiders entrance exam.
